Tent Time

Last weekend, we got out the tent for a place for the kiddies to play while Mom and Dad worked in the yard. Owen and Greta pretended it was bedtime and brought out every last stuffed animal from their rooms, pillows included. Liam joined in the fun too.

Little Helpers

With all of the projects going on around here, we have had the greatest little helpers in the world! From moving dirt to wood and everything in between. Owen and Greta had the most fun playing on Mount Mulch. They loved sliding down the giant hill. They played all day long getting dirty and pretending they were on their fort hiding from the monster (Dad). Lots and Lots of FUN! Thank goodness for the steam washer!

Landscapers Challenge

What do you get when you take down 1 deck + move 1 hot tub + spread 9 yards of topsoil + plant 5 7 foot Blue Spruces + spread 4 yards of compost + 10 Yards of Mulch + transplant 11 shrubs = 1 Broken Back for poor Brad. Or 1 nice looking yard!

School Pros

Owen is now a pro at getting on the bus - he's first in line. No more tears! We went this past Wednesday to Open House at South Davis. Owen was the perfect host - he showed us all of his classrooms and introduced us to all of his and some of his friends. All of his teachers said he is a joy. And Greta also likes her new preschool. She loves packing up her backpack and putting it on, just like Owen does. She also is having fun at her Little Entertainers class at the Y making crafts, singing songs, and playing instruments. We are keeping busy!

First Day of Kindergarten

Today was the day, Owen's first day of Kindergarten! After a delicious breakfast of Honey Bunches of Oats, Owen showed off his special kindergarten credential badge. And Greta decided to be SuperGirl. We went outside to wait for the bus and Greta was right by Owen's side, watching all of the excitement. Sam, Kenz, and Anna came over for a few pictures and to wait for the bus in our driveway. Sam spotted the bus (a brand-spanking new one!) and you can tell by the look on Owen's face how excited he was! Reality set in fast, and he grabbed for Brad's leg, but Sam pulled him away and said, "Let's go, Owen." She took his hand, and after a quick wave good-bye, they were off! He was excited to get home and ran off of the bus because he knew there was a new Transformer waiting for him since he didn't cry. We think he had a great day, but details are still streaming in, bit by bit. Greta had a rough day, though. She missed her bestest playmate. While I was feeding Liam, she was pretending to be at the beach with Scooby-Doo and managed to fall asleep in the process, resting her head on a swimmie.
